About the Role
Fulltime Permanent position - Monday to Friday
This role is based in Canberra at the ADF base in the capital. Attractive relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate willing to relocate. Please note - this role is due to start in December 2024, but there is a possibility to explore an earlier date.
Within the ADF contract, our Psychiatrists are responsible for providing expert psychiatric advice and support to Defence and health service providers, managing complex mental health cases.
Responsibilities:
Extensive experience as a clinical leader and psychiatrist involved in the provision of clinical interventions relevant to the needs of Eligible Personnel experiencing mental health problems, particularly the impact of trauma;
A high-level of experience in mental health and psychiatric service leadership and management, program development, research and/or policy development;
Wide-ranging experience in the provision of clinical supervision in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Base Line Security Clearance (desirable).
