Some of the key responsibilities include: Delivering presentations and facilitating training to the department's staff and external agencies. Developing innovative, relevant, diversity-enabled and culturally sensitive learning solutions for the department's officers. Designing and developing associated training, support, and instructional material for training participants may also be required. Developing ‘training strategies’ and producing ‘training outcome’ briefs and other high-level briefs as required, for the Executive. Overseeing the scheduling of security training and prioritising enrolment of course participants. Interpreting, applying and enacting security policy and procedures and educating others on these aspects. As directed, liaising and collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to understand and refine security training needs for the department. Delivering innovative approaches to building capability across the network and ensuring the network can meet the demands on it into the future. You will have security training development, coordination and capability-building experience including qualifications in Training and Assessment. You will possess a high level of initiative and judgement and be driven to deliver results. Previous experience in technical security (TSCM) would be highly advantageous for this role. You will have very good management, coordination and interpersonal skills and be client and delivery focused. You will be comfortable and confident in engaging with Department employees as well as domestic and FVEYS partners in law enforcement and the intelligence community. You will have the ability to develop innovative approaches to security training and delivery and lead the design of security training frameworks and training materials. You will have experience in technical security or experience working in the intelligence community (highly desirable). Design, develop and deliver security training specifically related to technical and operational security. Develop a Technical Security Professional Development Framework. Identify and implement innovative approaches to building technical and operational security capability across the Department. Oversee the scheduling and delivery timetable of technical security training including engagement and booking of training providers. Drawing on a broad cross-section of information, review and modify security training content to ensure it addresses emerging security risks, remains current with the Department Security Framework,uses adult learning principles and considers and applies to our diverse staffing profile. Build and develop collaborative relationships domestically and internationally. Review and refine existing processes and procedures to ensure an efficient and effective operating model for technical security training. Prepare briefing material and policy guidance to support the training framework. Share training expertise and build presentation capability and confidence within the team. Other duties as directed.
