Financial Accountant - International Brand

We are pleased to be partnering with a major player in the communications and consumer electronics industry. Reporting to a knowledgeable Financial Controller, you'll work in a close-knit accounts team and be involved with all aspects of accounting for the Australian business - a fantastic learning opportunity. What You'll Do Oversight of all day to day accounting and bookkeeping matters including month end close Hands on preparation of monthly management accounts Management reporting and commentary General ledger, balance sheet and other reconciliations Fixed Assets including process review, acquisitions and disposals Assist and guide accounts clerical and payroll staff Oversee corporate governance procedures and controls Quarterly and year end matters including drafting financial reports and supporting the audit process Tax compliance such as income tax, GST and FBT Statutory reporting Monthly payroll review Work closely with the ANZ Financial Controller and Global CFO as required What you'll offer: CA/CPA or progression towards this status combined with an excellent knowledge of accounting standards A solid level of financial accounting experience in another company and the desire to continue to learn Superior analytical skills allowing you to monitor trends and variances Ability to think on your feet and be a go to person if any problems arise Great communication so you can liaise with a range of business stakeholders Strong Excel and other software skills including an accounting ERP A proactive approach to business and systems improvement How to apply: Please apply on-line, telephone Tania Rogers on 0472 512 116 or email [email protected] About Lawson Delaney Lawson Delaney’s Accounting recruitment team is passionate about helping candidates find their dream job.
