Initial training in Dubai, UAE, followed by permanent placement in Melbourne, Australia. (We provide sponsorship for the temporary relocation to Dubai for training. Role Description As a Junior Trader at Cobblestone Energy, you will be at the forefront of our next-generation energy trading operations, specializing in UK and European electricity markets. This role offers a unique opportunity to kickstart your career in energy trading, with a focus on leveraging advanced analytics and technology to make impactful trading decisions. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team is required. A proactive, business-oriented mindset is essential. Strong analytical and numerical problem-solving skills are a must. Resilience and decision-making capabilities in high-stress situations are necessary. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field is preferred. Familiarity with energy markets and coding skills are considered advantageous but not essential. Hiring Process Once your application has been reviewed, the evaluation process will involve psychometric tests, a research project, and remote interviews. Following this, selected finalists will be invited to participate in the final stage of the recruitment process: the Commercial Training Program (CTP) in our Dubai office. During this one-week program, we will cover all relocation expenses, including flights, accommodation, work visa paperwork, and related costs. Upon successful completion of the CTP, candidates will receive an offer to join our Dubai office as full-time Commercial Graduates through our Commercial Development Program (CDP). This 8-12 months program offers a comprehensive rotational experience in trading and analytics, with the guidance of our experienced commercial team. Throughout the program, you will receive mentorship and training in market fundamentals, allowing you to develop strong analytical skills. After finishing the program, you will assume the role of a Junior Trader at Cobblestone Energy.
