Human Resources Manager (HR Manager)

to join the Senior Leadership Team to assist with the ongoing development of the Human Resources department into the future. With two sites, the main RSL Club in North Ryde and the North Ryde RSL Sports Club in Eastwood, the HR Manager will play a pivotal role in the direction of the culture and continued professionalism of the Club's motivated and dedicated workforce of around 155.

Holding a member base of over 27,000, the Club has engaged a new CEO within the last year to take lead of the club and direct the business into a successful future for both the members and staff. We are a forward looking organisation that is dedicated to developing our business over the next decade and beyond, with a focus on the development and adherence to the Club's agreed vision and values.

We are searching for an experienced HR professional who truly believes that our people (including our customers, suppliers, and our staff) are our most valuable commodity and they are to be supported, nurtured, and rewarded for their dedication and service.

Our new HR Manager will enhance and manage our HR function across the business. You will report directly to the CEO and be an integral member of our Senior Leadership Team, contributing to broader operational and strategic management decisions relating to your department. You will be supported in your role by a full-time HR Officer and full-time Payroll Administrator and work with a strong leadership team and workforce.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Implement and manage end to end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, development, training, and offboarding. Work with the managers and staff to create inspiring development plans, service standards, and drive the club's vision and values. Oversee payroll administration. Rostering management of our frontline team. Providing timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees including performance management. Manage WHS initiatives and Workers Compensation. Develop and implement all HR policies and procedures. Develop a departmental skills matrix to assess and address. Review and tweak all position descriptions. Develop and implement a robust health and wellbeing workforce program. Manage employee relations projects and RTW processes.

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated HR skills gained in an equivalent Human Resources management role in customer focused organisations. Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded. Demonstrated skills and experience in implementing and managing HR information systems, payroll, and rostering systems. Ability to establish, build and maintain respectful and ethical relationships with the team and other key stakeholders. Strong Leadership skills within a collaborative environment.
