The opportunity
We have 2 newly created Senior Leadership roles available to join our People Risk team in Perth and Sydney as National Portfolio Managers, reporting to the Head of People Risk. As a National Portfolio Manager, you are responsible for providing tactical and strategic leadership, portfolio management, and technical expertise to achieve sustainable underwriting profit by ensuring adequate pricing and risk acceptance.
Your new role
Primary Accountabilities will include:
Deliver agreed portfolio plan including GWP, Retention, Rate, Loss Ratio, and New Business
Present quarterly portfolio performance against targets to the leadership team
Participation in client and tender proposals and lead Executive Partnership reviews, including delivering market updates to all partners
Support the Transform Agenda and People Risk Strategy through the integration of Workers Comp and Accident & Health products
Actively create, promote, and work-in a borderless Underwriting team across both Australia and the Global Shared Services Centre
Support divisional demand during peak periods through assistance and Underwriting activity
Tech Audit ownership and accountability including the entire workflow of the audit process, through to satisfactory outcome and issue resolution
About you
To be successful as a National Portfolio Manager, you will have recent Insurance Leadership experience, with strong independent leadership skills. You will have good portfolio skills with the ability to make decisions at a portfolio level. You will also have:
Strong working knowledge of People Risk
Experience leading customer engagement
A working knowledge of Workers Comp, Accident & Health, Liability, or CTP will be an advantage
A bachelor's Degree or MBA, or a combination of Industry and Leadership certifications
A desire to learn and grow in your role and your career with QBE
