The opportunity: Join our team as a Supply Chain Controller within our Technical Services Department. You’ll be responsible for the secure storage, upkeep, and logistical handling of inventory, while also ensuring the seamless generation and maintenance of purchase orders. Your day to day: • Maintain optimal levels of inventory and critical spares to meet operational demands • Ensure secure and organised storerooms that is coherent to workplace safety standards • Communicate and support the maintenance team members on processes and queries relating to inventory. • Generate and coordinate purchase orders for suppliers and contractors • Coordinate delivery schedules to align with operational requirements • Liaise with the accounts department to assist with invoices discrepancies ensuring that suppliers are paid in a timely manner What you’ll bring: • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role is essential, preferably within a building/engineering industry as product knowledge is beneficial • Experience in undertaking stock takes in a high volume environment is advantageous • Forklift License and Manual Drivers License is essential • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) • The ability to take ownership of the role, accountability of stock movement and store access • Strong time management and organization skills, with an attention to detail and accuracy • Demonstrated positive attitude and excellent work ethic • Ability to work in a team and autonomously • Intermediate computer skills with competency in the Microsoft Office Suite Advertised: 08 May 2024 E.
